Platform status

Status will replace our former site, status.banno.com. Now you can follow the lifecycle of an incident without ever having to leave Banno Admin. This page will be updated for any issues that arise with Banno services.

To access Platform status, you must be an enterprise user. Need to invite additional users? Get a refresher on Users & Groups as a whole, or jump to details for inviting new users.

Status definitions

Below are the definitions for statuses Banno Admin users may see displayed on the Platform status screen:

  • Operational: All services are fully operational.
  • Degraded performance: Customers can login however performance is degraded. This could mean slower syncs, or a feature is not available.
  • Partial outage: A subset of institutions has been identified as down. These customers are unable to log in.
  • Major outage: All institutions are down. All customers are unable to log in.
  • Under maintenance: We are currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. This status would be used if service interruptions were to last beyond our scheduled maintenance window.

FAQ

Does Jack Henry no longer update status.banno.com?
We will continue to update status.banno.com in addition to the Platform status while we adopt the new process. This allows for institutions to ensure the appropriate teams have been invited to Banno Admin and have access. An SLA will be sent once we have fully migrated to only updating Platform status.
For what products will status be updated?
As of August 2024, the status page will currently only be updated when a product that is a part of the Banno Platform services are impacted. This would consist of Mobile, Online & Banno Content as well as any ancillary add ons/services.

The goal, however, is that we will continue to fold other products into the mix from Digital and continue expanding across Jack Henry. A lot of additional monitoring and observability hooks have been built. In addition, accessibility to the status page will transition to a more centralized location so that you do not have to have a Banno Admin login to access.

Is a specific permission needed to access the status page?
No, any enterprise user who has been invited will have access by default. If you have not previously been invited to the Banno Admin, please contact the administrator within your financial institution for assistance. For more information see, Settings user documentation.
Will you update status if Twilio services are interrupted?
While we understand when our vendors services are not fully operational it can have impacts on our customers, our status page is intended to report on incidents that we manage throughout their lifecycle. Please visit Twilio’s status page, https://status.twilio.com/ ,for the most updated information. You can also subscribe for updates to be notified whenever Twilio creates, updates, or resolves an incident.
Will historical incidents be viewable?
No, just as we do today when an incident is resolved, we will leave the historical timeline up for approximately 10-15 minutes after it has been resolved. There are continued discussions happening around how we can iterate the use of this new status page. The initial goal was to get a better replacement for the current page and keep forward movement to adding new functionality.
What if Banno Admin goes down?
Should we experience an outage where Banno Admin is also not available, we will update status.banno.com in the interim. For the longer-term planning, having a more centralized location for the status page will help in these scenarios. In addition, we will also continue to utilize SLA communication as appropriate to ensure our customers stay up to date on the latest status of all Jack Henry products & services.
